JoAnna (Eichstedt) Wilson, 62, of Great Barrington

JoAnna was a 1971 graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School, the first full class to graduate from the school.

 

JoAnna (Eichstedt) Wilson, 62, of Great Barrington, Mass., passed Wednesday November 25, 2015 in the comfort of her childhood home. She was born on October 30, 1953 in Great Barrington daughter of Raymond F. and Sylvia (Keefner) Eichstedt.

JoAnna was a 1971 graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School, the first full class to graduate from the school. JoAnna was very involved in her community being involved with Sunday School at the First Congregational Church in Great Barrington, where she was also a member; a WEBLO Boy Scout leader for two years. In 1985 she became a Life Member of the James A. Modolo Post #8348 Auxiliary, past President 1996-1998 transferred to the Dr. George L. Curin Post in North Adams Auxiliary Post #996.

JoAnna is survived by one son, Keith Wilson and wife Emily Chase of Pittsfield, one brother, Raymond K. Eichstedt and companion Mary Machia of Great Barrington; three sisters, Margaret Quigley and husband Bob of Otis, Nora Gop and husband Jim of Great Barrington, and Doris Beckwith of Eagle Lake, Fla.; two grandchildren, Kevin and Oliver, one niece, Sacha Griggs of Georgia., four nephews, Jim Gop Jr. of Sheffield, Cory Beckwith of Florida, Travis Beckwith of Florida and Garrett Beckwith of Arizona.

Funeral services for JoAnna Wilson who passed November 25 will be held on Tuesday December 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington MA 01230 with Pastor Charles Van Ausdall officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Great Barrington. Family will receive friends on Monday November 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in JoAnna’s memory may be made to the D’Amore Cancer Institute at Baystate Medical in care of BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME.
