Jeremy Samuel Howe, 53, of Hinsdale died on Tuesday, June 4, after he was found lifeless in Ashmere Lake.

Jeremy was born on November 13, 1970, in Holyoke, Mass., to David T. and Sally J. Noyes Howe. He attended Wahconah High School until his junior year, when he relocated to Milwaukee, Wis., where he was a 1988 high school graduate of Milwaukee Technical College.
While living in Milwaukee, Jeremy was an assembler for Quad Graphics and worked for a company making shipping containers. After returning to Hinsdale, he worked at pro-tech in Pittsfield as a machinist, and most recently worked as a mason’s helper. Jeremy loved to arrange things and was very artistic. He enjoyed singing karaoke, playing disc golf, and he loved to camp.
Mr. Howe is survived by his parents, David and Sally Howe of Hinsdale; his siblings, Diane E. Wieland of Pittsfield and Matthew J. Wieland and Jason S. Wieland of Hinsdale; his cousin Bill Pearce and his children, Becky, Nathan, and Jessica Pearce; his niece and nephews, Lucas, Mary, and Adam Wieland; and his good friend Bill W. Jeremy was predeceased by his brother Eric Allen Wieland in 2023.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, all services will be private. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 28, at 2 p.m., at the Dalton American Legion Post 155.
