Jereme E. Capitanio, 40, of Pittsfield

He loved spending time outside and with his family, especially his niece, nephews, and his brother and best friend, Josh.

Jereme E. Capitanio, 40, of Pittsfield, died at Berkshire Medical Center on December 20 after a brief illness.

Jereme was born in Pittsfield on June 2, 1981 to Patricia Kennedy Hakes and the late George S. Capitanio.

Jereme worked as an auto mechanic for various businesses. He enjoyed working on cars, riding snowmobiles, and motorcycles. He could often be found taking a ride up the mountain in his 4×4 truck. He loved spending time outside and with his family, especially his niece, nephews, and his brother and best friend, Josh.

Jereme loved to hang out with his friends and was constantly there to lend a helping hand. He will always be loved by those who knew him and will be missed by all.

Jereme is survived by his son Wyatt; his mother Patricia Hakes of Florida; his siblings Joshua Capitanio of Pittsfield, Dominic Capitanio of Otis, and Nicole Tenney of Maine; and nieces and nephews Chris, Joshua Jr., Jereme, Kayleigh, and Zander, all of Pittsfield. Besides his father George S. Capitanio, Jereme is predeceased by his grandmother Betty Capitanio.
