Jean N. Choquette, 71, of South Egremont

Jean worked as a receptionist and secretary for Tom Dawson Accounting for over 20 years and also was a waitress for numerous area restaurants.

Jean N.Brooks Choquette 71, of South Egremont, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 11, 2015. She was born in Pittsfield, Mass., on June 12, 1944, daughter of Francis and Anne Rennie Brooks. She worked as a receptionist and secretary for Tom Dawson Accounting for over 20 years and also was a waitress for numerous area restaurants.

Jean had a wonderful sense of humor and loved knitting, traveling, playing pool and trips to casinos. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

She leaves her husband, Raymond; two daughters, Laurie Basinait and her husband Barry, of Copake, N.Y., and Kasey Percy and her husband Tony, of South Egremont; two sons, Steven Zink and his wife Kathy, of Ashley Falls, Mass., Nelson Zink and his companion Giovanna Weeks of Torrington, Conn., a stepson Joseph Choquette, of Winter Haven, Colo., a stepdaughter Kimberly Choquette, of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; two brothers, William Brooks and his wife Carole, of Pittsfield, and Richard Brooks and his wife Sandy of Postenskill, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Cassandra Lane and her husband Matt of Lenox, Stephen Zink Jr., and Alexis Basinait, two great grandchildren Emma and Colin Lane, and two nieces. Jean was predeceased by a grandson, Corey R. Vincent.

In keeping with Jean’s wishes all services will be private. BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME is entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations in Jeans’ memory may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires, 877 South Street, Suite 1 West, Pittsfield MA. 01201. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Ann Church in Lenox, with Fr. CJ Waitekus officiating. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery. There will be calling hours from 9 to 10:15 a.m. in the church.

Nicholas Navarino, 90, of Waretown, N.J., formerly of Great Barrington

Navarino was a resident of Gt. Barrington for 16 years between 2004 and 2020.
