Jean B. Kay, 84, of Great Barrington

She enjoyed various hobbies including oil painting, gardening, vacationing, antiquing, entertaining and making sure the wild animals who frequented her yard were well-fed.

It is with great sadness that the family of Jeannie Kay announces her passing at the age of 84 years Sunday, June 23, 2019, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.

In 1967 she helped her husband build their current residence. Jeannie worked for the telephone company for 32 years and attended the Pratt Institute in New York City, and enjoyed various hobbies including oil painting, gardening, vacationing, antiquing, entertaining and making sure the wild animals who frequented her yard were well-fed. Many years were also spent volunteering for the Berkshire Botanical Garden tag sale.

Jeannie will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Eddie, of 52 years; her children Pam Hiser and Dr. David Kay; daughter-in-law Arlene Kay; brother Joseph Baldyga; sisters Nancy Ried and Marilyn Pease; and grandchildren David Kay Jr. and Mathew Kay.

A private funeral service for immediate family only will be held at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington MA 01230. Interment will follow at the family plot in St. Bridget’s Cemetery in Housatonic. Condolences may be made through birchesroyfuneralservices.com.

Marjorie A. Prince, 90, of Lenox

The funeral of Mrs. Marjorie A. Prince will be Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, with the Rev. Monsignor John J. Bonzagni, Pastor, celebrating the Liturgy. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

Martha’s legacy is one of connection, warmth, and shared laughter. Her memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A small, intimate gathering for close family and friends will be held at Birches-Roy Funeral Home on Monday March 9, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. A private burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
