To the editor:
I want to express my support for Jamie Minacci’s re-election to the Stockbridge Select Board. While I am not a Stockbridge constituent, I am a Berkshire resident, and more and more, as neighbors, we work together to help our towns and cities. Local leaders must think strategically and regionally. And the towns of Lenox and Stockbridge regularly collaborate on transportation, economic development, and cultural preservation goals.
As rivals in the race for state representative, Ms. Minacci and I shared many of the same ideals (as did all the candidates for the 3rd Berkshire District). While we may not have agreed on everything, among our similar visions are working to keep our taxes reasonable while continuing to provide essential municipal services, provide a good education for our children, and preserve the charm of our region.
Jamie Minacci has Stockbridge in her bones. She understands that a strong Stockbridge adds to the strength of the Berkshires. Her commitment to ensuring robust and sustainable municipal services, including through attracting and retaining quality municipal staff, provides for the long-term stability of her town. Jamie has continually rolled up her sleeves for the town of Stockbridge, always focused on what is in the best interest of all Stockbridge residents. Please re-elect Jamie Minacci to the Stockbridge Select Board.
