James “Jimmy Joe” Provost, 54, of Ashley Falls

Jimmy worked as a carpenter building homes. He rebuilt the Corn Crib after the fire and framed houses in Georgia for five years.

James “Jimmy Joe” Provost, 54, of Ashley Falls died on Wednesday February 3, 2016 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Jimmy was born in Pittsfield on January 1, 1962. He was a 1979 graduate of Gateway Regional High School. Jimmy worked as a carpenter building homes. He rebuilt the Corn Crib after the fire and framed houses in Georgia for five years.

Jimmy is survived by his lifetime partner Tina Provost of Ashley Falls; his brother Jeffrey Provost of North Adams; his sisters Brenda Cleary of Great Barrington and Wendy Provost of Lee; nephews Timothy, Christopher, Kenny, and Jacob; nieces Amanda, Nikki, and Krystal; great-niece Mackenzie; and great-nephews Michael and Thomas. Jimmy was predeceased by his mother Madeline (Dean) Warner, his brother David Provost, and great-nieces Maddie and Lilly.
