James F. Percy, 78, of Sheffield

Jim and Susan resided in Mount Washington, Mass., for 40 years where they raised their family. When the girls grew up and moved on, Jim could often be found in his wood shop making furniture for his family or taking his grandchildren fishing at one of his favorite fishing spots.

Sheffield – James F. Percy, 78, of County Road in Sheffield, Mass., died Friday morning, June 17, 2022 at his home.

James (Jim) was born in Sheffield, Mass., on May 10, 1944, the son of Theodore D. Percy and Anna (Gilligan) Percy. He was a graduate of Mt. Everett Regional High School in Sheffield.

Jim was employed by John B. Hull, Inc. for over 25 years. Prior to working for John B. Hull, Inc., Jim was the highway superintendent of Mount Washington, Mass., and drove for Watta Crete in Canaan, Conn.

Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan (Curtis) Percy, whom he married on September 18, 1976 in Canaan, Conn.. He is also survived by their four children, Carrie Fotiathis of Pittsfield, Mass.; Melissa Zdziarski and her husband Peter of New Marlborough, Mass. Andrea King of Alford, Mass. and her close friend Mark Hickey of Falls Village, Conn.; and Jennie Percy and her fiancé John Kelleher of Egremont, Mass. He is also survived by his brother Donald Percy and wife Barbara and his sister Mary Philbrick and husband Bruce, all of Sheffield, Mass. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Michael Hosier; Eric Hickey; Peter, Jr.; Anna; Stefan; and Alek Zdziarski.

Jim was predeceased by his brother Marty.

Jim and Susan resided in Mount Washington, Mass. for 40 years where they raised their family. When the girls grew up and moved on, Jim could often be found in his wood shop making furniture for his family or taking his grandchildren fishing at one of his favorite fishing spots.

In accordance with his wishes there will be no funeral services.

Percy may be made to either the Great Barrington Fish & Game Club for the Kid’s Fishing Derby or the Southern Berkshire Volunteer Ambulance Squad through Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home, 426 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230. Roberta A. ‘Bobbie’ Nussbaum, 90, of Egremont

A funeral service for Roberta 'Bobbie' Nussbaum will be held Friday, May 16, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home, conducted by Rabbi Barbara Cohen. Burial will follow at Ahavath Sholom Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Francis Thomas Duke Jr., 82, of Lenox

The funeral for Mr. Francis T. Duke will be held on Friday, May 16, at 11 a.m., at Trinity Church in Lenox, with Rev. Michael Tuck officiating. Burial will be private in Corashire Cemetery in Monterey. There will be no calling hours.
