Jacob’s Pillow, Just Sole! Street Dance Company, Pittsfield’s Funk Box Dance Studio take part in Berkshire Busk!
A free Berkshire Busk! performance on Friday, July 14, organized by Jacob’s Pillow On The Road, featured Philadelphia's Just Sole! Street Dance Theater Company and Funk Box Dance Studio of Pittsfield.

Great Barrington — The Berkshire Busk! street festival series continued on Friday, July 14 with a performance organized by Jacob’s Pillow On The Road.
The performance series, organized by the Becket dance festival, brought free performances to Berkshire Busk!; Becket on Saturday, July 15; and North Adams on Sunday, July 16. The July 14 performance included members of Philadelphia’s Just Sole! Street Dance Theater Company.

According to a press release from Jacob’s Pillow, Just Sole! was founded in 2010 with its mission to use street dances “… of all styles theatrically to inspire, empower, innovate, and motivate others to embrace their story and individuality while teaching the culture and history of hip hop dance.”
The July 14 event also included a performance by members of the Funk Box Dance Studio of Pittsfield.

The dance studio was founded in 2014 by award-winning breakdancer Andres Ramirez, who teaches dance in the Pittsfield school district and at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley.
The Berkshire Busk! series is scheduled to continue with performances on Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22. For more information, go to its website.
