Interfaith Community Vigil for Pittsburgh planned for Thursday, November 1

All are welcome at Community Interfaith Vigil, organized by the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires, to be held Thursday, November 1 at 5:45 p.m.

Representatives of the interfaith community throughout the Berkshires came together amazingly quickly to plan a vigil prompted by the murder of 11 worshippers at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, October 22.

According to Dara Kaufman, executive director of the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires,  “There was great desire to take action, and a sense of urgency.”  The Interfaith Community Vigil will take place at Congregation Knesset Israel in Pittsfield at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, November 1. All are welcome. The program and list of speakers are still in development.
