In response to Jon Piasecki’s letter to the editor

In a small town, we need to work together. Mr. Piesicki’s recent letter to the editor indicates an approach that heightens division through suggestions of gentrification and accusations of racism.

To the editor:

I support Kathleen Keresey in her campaign for the open seat for the Select Board in West Stockbridge. As current the current chair, she has worked hard at bringing our town together.

I am a business owner in town and appreciate Kathleen’s successful effort to make our town look inviting with attractive plantings and welcoming seating. I also appreciate her efforts working with the local police department focusing on traffic calming to keep our streets and businesses safe for pedestrians.

In a small town, we need to work together. Mr. Piesicki’s recent letter to the editor indicates an approach that heightens division through suggestions of gentrification and accusations of racism. This is not productive and is, in fact, contrary to where I feel our Select Board should focus.
