I-90 / Stockbridge Road bridge repair work starts Monday, June 11

The Stockbridge Road bridge over I-90 in Lee, will be closed for approximately 2 months for scheduled bridge repair work.

Lee —The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is announcing that starting on Monday, June 11, 2018, the Stockbridge Road Bridge over I-90 in Lee, will be closed for approximately 2 months for scheduled bridge repair work.  Lanes of travel on I-90 will remain open at all times, although, during off-peak travel periods, one lane of I-90 may need to be closed due to bridge maintenance activities.

Temporary Detour: From Stockbridge Road, east of the bridge, traffic will head east on Stockbridge Road and West Park Street. Then traffic turns right (southward) onto Route 20 eastbound. Traffic turns right (westward) onto Routh 102 westbound and vehicles will follow a route until it intersects with Route 7, at which point traffic turns right and heads north until Lee Road which becomes Stockbridge Road. The detour in the reverse direction, from West of the bridge, follows the same route.

Appropriate signage and messaging will be in place to guide drivers during these operations. The schedule for this work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice. MassDOT encourages drivers to reduce speed and use caution while traveling throughout this area.
