Housatonic resident convicted of rape

Formel will be sentenced on May 14.

Pittsfield — Timothy Formel, 44, of Housatonic, was found guilty of rape in Berkshire Superior Court on Friday, May 9.

According to a press release written by Berkshire District Attorney’s Office Chief of Operations Julia Sabourin, Formel was found guilty by a jury and will be sentenced on Wednesday, May 14.

Sabourin wrote that Formel raped a woman in the early morning hours of May 26, 2018. The rape occurred in New Marlborough.
