Helen Rose (Fulco) Zanetti, 92, of Great Barrington

Helen Rose (Fulco) Zanetti, 92, of Great Barrington passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center in Lenox. Helen was born in Great Barrington on July 16, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Louis Sr. and Helene (Budzinski) Fulco.

Helen was predeceased by two older brothers, Louis Fulco Jr. (Patricia), and John Fulco (Patricia). She was raised by her late aunt and uncle, Grace Fulco Teggi and Thomas Teggi Sr. There she gained two additional loving older brothers: the late Thomas Teggi, Jr. (Margery) and Richard Teggi (Joyce).

She was a graduate of the former Searles High School in the class of 1950 where she was a cheerleader. After high school, Helen went on to St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Pittsfield where she received a nursing degree with the class of 1953. Helen worked for many years as a registered nurse in the operating room at Fairview Hospital until her retirement in 1995. Helen was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church in Great Barrington and was a CCD teacher there.

Helen bowled in leagues at the Cove Lanes and in Canaan, Conn. She was a Girl Scout leader, and she enjoyed traveling to Europe and many states within the U.S., particularly Maine and Florida. Helen was a life-long New York Yankees fan and attended many games at Yankee Stadium.

She was a true homemaker, an incredible cook and gardener, and patient teacher to her daughters. She loved spending time with her family and wintering in Las Vegas with daughter Kathleen. Helen was a caring, supportive, and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.

Helen is survived by her husband of 65 years, Achilles J. “Sonny” Zanetti Jr. of Great Barrington whom she married on October 19, 1957 at St. Peter’s Church in Great Barrington. They have four daughters: Rosemarie Terwilliger and husband Gordon of Guilford, Conn.; Theresa Zanetti of Stockbridge; Kathleen Zanetti of Las Vegas, Nev.; and Barbara Zanetti and husband Robert Brownson of Sheffield. They also have four grandchildren, Christopher Terwilliger and fiancée Jessica Thomson of Middletown, Conn.; Matthew Terwilliger of Guilford, Conn.; and Austin Miner and Julia Miner of Stockbridge.

The family would like to thank all of Helen’s caregivers.

Francis Thomas Duke Jr., 82, of Lenox

The funeral for Mr. Francis T. Duke will be held on Friday, May 16, at 11 a.m., at Trinity Church in Lenox, with Rev. Michael Tuck officiating. Burial will be private in Corashire Cemetery in Monterey. There will be no calling hours.

There will be a service held on Wednesday, May 14, beginning at 11 a.m., at the Roche Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 13, from 4 to 7 p.m.
