Harriet C. Lawrence, 83, formerly of Christian Hill Commons died Wednesday May 22, 2019 at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington. Harriet was born in Lee on November 15, 1935, daughter of Richard and Paulina (Hunt) Wheeler.
Harriet loved making crafts, cooking, gardening and having her coffee and cigarettes with her friends and neighbors at Christian Hill Commons, her cat Maddie and spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Harriet’s husband Donald W. Lawrence Sr. whom she married on October 22, 1955 predeceased her on April 8, 1997.
Harriet is survived by three daughters, Deborah Hiser and husband Phil of Lee; Laurie Jones and Joe McDonald of Great Barrington; and Sharon Smith and husband Dave “Smitty” of Stockbridge; daughter in law, Linda Lawrence of Great Barrington; one son, Edward Lawrence of Great Barrington; two brothers, Rainsford Morehouse and wife Judy of Lee and Merrill Morehouse and wife Karen of Lee; nine grandchildren, Amy (Matt), Philip (Kate), Will (Amanda), Andy, Lainey (Devin), Kali, Jason, Jessi and Kamdin; seven great grandchildren, Kayli, Aleigha, Jackson, Lily, Azalea, Cleome and Beckett, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Donald W. Lawrence Sr., Harriet was predeceased by son Donald (Donny) W. Lawrence Jr.
In keeping with Harriet C. Lawrence wishes all services are private.
