Great Barrington’s Berkshire Busk! returns for fifth year

“The Berkshire Busk! has created a place where everyone can get together and have an enjoyable time," said SoCo Creamery owner Erik Bruun. "It’s just great to see so many expressions of joy throughout each night.”

Great Barrington — The downtown area was alive with music and fun as the fifth season of the Berkshire Busk! summer series started on Friday, June 27, and Saturday, June 28.

During both nights, musicians and performance artists entertained crowds all throughout the downtown area, including on Main Street, Railroad Street, and the Triplex Cinema Courtyard.

June 27 included performances by bands Paper Anniversary, The Midnight Anthem, Jasperoo and musicians Robin O’Herin, Brian Hailes, along with performances by fire dancer Luna Faun, sword dancer Luminara, and comedian Ol’ Ms. Money Bags.

The evening of June 28 included performances by musicians Noah Robertson and Galush; performance artists Chalk Gremlin Circus Company and Opal Raven Cirque; and Berkshire Pride members Bella Santarella, Poppy DaBubbly, Vuronika Baked, and Jayde Violet.

According to SoCo Creamery owner Erik Bruun, the summer series has been a boon for local businesses. “We’re delighted and glad that we always have many people who show up,” Bruun said. “The Berkshire Busk! has created a place where everyone can get together and have an enjoyable time.
