Great Barrington Main Street construction update: July 20 through Friday, July 24

Two-way traffic and access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Police officers will be present at all locations to direct traffic and ensure traffic flows smoothly in all directions.

Great Barrington — Maxymillian will continue work July 20th, at 6:30am. They will be removing sidewalk and curbing on the east side of Main Street, on the north side of the project. Monday July 20, the intersection of Cottage and Main will be repaved.

Maxymillian will be setting curbing and pouring sidewalk on the south side of the project from Bridge Street to St.James Place and will be finishing wheelchair ramp and brick work at the intersection of Castle and Main streets.

All businesses will have clear access during work hours.

Verizon will be doing conduit work from Elm Street moving north.

Lapinski will continue with traffic light conduit work on the north end of the project from Elm Street moving north.

Work hours are between 6:30 a.m. and 3 ;p.m. Monday through Friday. With the exception of completion of daily tasks and additional clean up of work areas, road conditions will return to normal after 3 p.m. each day.
