Great Barrington Main Street construction update

Work hours are between 6 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday, Sept 4th work will end at noon.

Maxymillian will continue work August 31st, at 6 a.m. They will be setting curbing and continuing sidewalk work on the west and east side of Main Street, on the north side of the project. All businesses will have clear access during work hours.

Side 2nd rightLapinski will continue with traffic light conduit work on east side of Main Street on the north end of the project at the Cottage Street intersection

Two-way traffic and access to businesses will be maintained at all times.  Police officers will be present at all locations to direct traffic and ensure traffic flows smoothly in all directions.

Work hours are between 6 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday, Sept 4th work will end at noon. With the exception of completion of daily tasks and additional clean up of work areas, road conditions will return to normal after 3 p.m. each day.

Below is a photo of the Great Barrington Fire Department, using its newly acquired ladder truck, to drop 1,000 orange Ping-Pong balls with gift coupons and shopping suggestions onto a Main Street crowded with families and children Friday afternoon, signaling the beginning of the SummerFest weekend.
