Great Barrington Main Street construction schedule update  

The Southern Berkshire Chamber of Commerce has compiled the schedule of construction work on the Main Street Reconstruction Project for the week of Monday, August 17 through Friday, August 21.

Maxymillian will continue work August 17th, at 6:30 a.m. They will be setting curbing and continuing sidewalk work on the west and east side of Main Street, on the north side of the project. All businesses will have clear access during work hours.

Verizon will be doing conduit work on the east side of Main Street from Elm Street moving north.

Lapinski will continue with traffic light conduit work on east side of Main Street on the north end of the project from Elm Street moving north.

Construction 3Two-way traffic and access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Police officers will be present at all locations to direct traffic and ensure traffic flows smoothly in all directions.

Work hours are between 6:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. With the exception of completion of daily tasks and additional clean up of work areas, road conditions will return to normal after 3 p.m. each day.
