Great Barrington Historical Society showcases ‘An Old-Fashioned Christmas’

In a letter to the editor, Gary Leveille writes, "One room of moving miniatures within a Christmas village is amazing, and sure to make even the Grinch smile."

To the editor:

The Great Barrington Historical Society Museum has a fantastic and expansive new holiday exhibit throughout its headquarters. Director Bob “Santa” Krol has worked countless hours and almost single-handedly (Mrs. Claus helped) created “An Old-Fashioned Christmas” with room after room of wonderful holiday displays from the Colonial period to the Victorian era to a modern Christmas. One room of moving miniatures within a Christmas village is amazing, and sure to make even the Grinch smile. And it’s all free.

Bring your children, bring your grandparents, but don’t miss this exhibit. It is open on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., evening hours on Friday and Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. , and Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon. The museum is located in a restored 1771 farmstead on South Main Street in Great Barrington across from the VFW.

Why I will not be voting for Jamie Minacci for Stockbridge Select Board

It has become evident to me that the person I so strongly supported in her first election has acted in many ways contrary to how I had thought she would.
