Great Barrington hires new town manager

Previously, Great Barrington has been without a permanent town manager since January.

Great Barrington — At a meeting held virtually via Zoom on Tuesday, October 14, the Selectboard approved a contract for Bourne, Mass., Assistant Town Manager Liz Hartsgrove to become the new permanent town manager.

According to contract terms discussed at the meeting, Bourne will start work for the town on Monday, November 3.

Her contract with the town, which will pay her $165,000 a year, extends through October 31, 2028.
