Christopher Lovett, 39, of Great Barrington, was arrested by the Newbury Police Department on June 27.
According to a press release issued by the department, Lovett was arrested on four charges of providing harmful or obscene matter to minors, and one charge of distributing obscene material.
The arrest came after an investigation in conjunction with Great Barrington, Salisbury, and Georgetown police departments.
According to various reports, Lovett posted $10,000 cash bail after his arraignment in Newbury District Court.
Lovett is a member of the Great Barrington Fire Department.
