Great Barrington dog owners to renew dog licenses by May 1

The fee is $5 for spayed or neutered dogsĀ and $15 for those intact (not spayed or neutered).

Great Barrington — All Great Barrington and Housatonic dog owners need to renew or apply for licenses for dogs not yet registered by May 1st to avoid incurring additional late fees

April 1st, a $10 late fee was applied to all dog license renewals that are not received before March 31st. A $25 late fee goes into effect beginning May 1st.

All dogs six months or older must be licensed, and all applications require proof of rabies vaccination. You can have your vet fax us a copy of your dog’s current vaccine record at (413) 528-1026.

If you no longer have your dog please let the Town Clerk’s office know so it can be removed from the database. (413) 528-1619 press 2 then 1.

Dog license renewals can be handled at the Town Clerk’s office from 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 1:30-4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or onlineĀ 

Applications can also be sent by mail, payable to Town of Great Barrington, to Town Clerk, 334 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA, 01230.
