Gina Noel Cardillo, 43, of Stockbridge

Gina was a devoted caregiver to many children throughout the Berkshires. She adored the magic and wonder of childhood.

Gina Noel Cardillo, life-long resident of Stockbridge, died unexpectedly May 15, 2018, in Berkshire Medical Center. She was 43.

Gina was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, on December 3, 1974, to Gerald Cardillo and Sally Hebert Cardillo. She graduated from Monument Mountain High School in 1993, Berkshire Community College in 2002, and Westfield State University in 2005 with a degree in Psychology.

She is survived by her parents, her brothers Gerald (Jerry), Peter and Jeffrey; her sisters-in-law Tellisa, Alicia and Yasmin; nephews Spencer, Ethan and Parker; nieces Norah, Kelsey and Shae; and her beloved Dylan.

Gina was a devoted caregiver to many children throughout the Berkshires. She adored the magic and wonder of childhood and found joy in watching her devotees play and experience that joy and wonder. She was accomplished at making toys come alive, particularly her treasured doll, Dylan. Gina worked in the nursery at the Stockbridge Congregational Church since 2016 to serve her community through the care of its children. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew Gina, especially Sam, Mia, Skylar, Willow, Meadow, Arrow, Maya, Michael, Jakie, and countless other children.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 25, 2018, at 10 a.m.at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stockbridge, followed by a luncheon at Crissey Farm on Stockbridge Road in Great Barrington. Visitation hours will be Thursday, May 24, 2018, 4-7 p.m.at Kelly Funeral Home in Lee, Massachusetts. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Gina’s life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s in care of Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main Street, Lee, MA 01238.
