GBPD, State Police, Secret Service nab local man on child porn charges

The accused is being held at Great Barrington police headquarters in lieu of $50,000 bail, and will be arraigned on Monday. Further charges may be pending.

GREAT BARRINGTON — Officers from the Great Barrington Police Department, the U.S. Secret Service and State Police executed at 220 State Road a search warrant today that was obtained as a result of an investigation into the possession and distribution of child pornography from an apartment at that address, Great Barrington Police Chief Paul Storti said in a written statement. 

As a result of the investigation, James J. Keough, 54, was arrested for possession of child pornography; distribution of material depicting a child in the nude; and distribution of material depicting a child in a sexual act.

Further charges may be pending. Keough was held at the Great Barrington police headquarters in lieu of $50,000 bail, and will be arraigned on Monday, March 21, in Southern Berkshire District Court.
