GB Main Street construction update

Assembled by the Southern Berkshire Chamber of Commerce, the Great Barrington Main Street Reconstruction schedule for Monday, Sept. 21 through Friday, Sept. 25, 2015.

Here is the schedule for the Great Barrington Main Street Reconstruction, as compiled by the Southern Berkshire Chamber of Commerce.

Maxymillian will continue work Monday, September 21, at 6:30am. They will be setting curbing and continuing sidewalk work on the east side of Main Street, on the north side of the project. All businesses will have clear access during work hours.

Maxymillian will begin raising manhole and catch basin covers in preperation for final paving in late October. PLEASE use caution when driving.

Lane Construction will begin milling road from Elm Street to Cottage Street in preperation for the finish paving in late October.

Lapinski will continue with control cabinets and erecting traffic light poles in various intersections.

lower leftTwo-way traffic and access to businesses will be maintained at all times.  Police officers will be present at all locations to direct traffic and ensure traffic flows smoothly in all directions.

Work hours are between 6:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. With the exception of the completion of daily tasks and additional clean up of work areas, road conditions will return to normal after 3 p.m. each day.
