Frank A. Twing Sr., 79, of Mill River

He grew up on multiple farms throughout the tri-state area and worked for Riva’s Construction Company and Becton Dickinson.

Frank Albert Twing Sr., or Bub Twing, as he was more commonly known, was born Aug. 14, 1938, and passed away Aug. 5, 2018, at 79 years old. He grew up on multiple farms throughout the tri-state area and worked for Riva’s Construction Company and Becton Dickinson.

He was predeceased by his father, Frank John Twing; his mother, Myrtle Twing; and his sister Eleanor Morey. He is survived by his wife, Laurie M. Twing; and his three sons: Frank Albert Twing Jr., Jesse Paul Twing and Luke John Twing. He also is survived by six sisters: Gloria Fifield, Hollis McNulty, Roberta Tanner, Beverly Snyder, Priscilla Stevens and Janice Lang; three brothers: Gilbert Twing Sr., Robert Twing Sr. and Reggie Twing Sr.; five grandchildren: Frank James Twing Sr., Kaley Twing, Damon Twing, Lexi Twing and Paityn Silvernail-Twing; and one great-grandchild: Frank James Twing Jr.

Funeral services for Frank A. Twing Sr. will be held Friday, Aug. 10, at noon at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230 with Pastor Kenneth Phesay officiating. Burial will follow in Mill River Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, Aug. 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. Condolences may be made through birchesroyfuneralservices.com.
