He and his wife of 67 years, Correll Gibbs Pezzee, traveled to all 48 contiguous United States, Mexico and Canada.

Francis worked at Deep Lake Farm in Lakeville, Conn., for several years; he worked for Lane Construction Corp. for 22 years, retiring in 1991. He and Correll moved to Bradenton, Florida in 1996, spending summers in Sheffield. He was a member of I.U.O.E. Retirees Club and a communicant of Our Lady of the Valley Church in Sheffield.

Francis enjoyed ice fishing, deep sea fishing, gardening, reading and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, David Novak (Susan), Andrea Dever (Terry), Christopher Pezzee (Angela) and Megan Snow (Bruce). But he had a special place in his heart for his six great-grandchildren, Daniel and Jack Novak, Julia and Lauren Dever, Lily and Ian Pezzee.

Mr. Pezzee is survived by his daughter, Laraine Novak and her husband, Richard (with whom he made his home), his son Michael Pezzee and his wife, Betsey, sister, Ellen Emprimo, and brother, William Chapin. He was predeceased by wife Correll in 2014 and his brother, Robert Chapin.

There will be no calling hours; a funeral mass in celebration of Francis’s life will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Our Lady of the Valley Church at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Bruce Teague officiating. Burial will be held in Our Lady of the Valley Cemetery in the spring.
