Four Pittsfield residents, one Housatonic resident charged in child predator sting

The child predator sting conducted by the Berkshire State Police Detective Unit, assigned to the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office, in collaboration with the Berkshire County Law Enforcement Task Force.

Berkshire County —  A total of 10 people have been charged in a child predator sting conducted by the Berkshire State Police Detective Unit, assigned to the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office, in collaboration with the Berkshire County Law Enforcement Task Force.

According to a press release issued on Tuesday, April 15, by the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office Chief of Operations Julia Sabourin, the child predator sting was a two-week-long operation aimed at apprehending child predators and was partially funded by the Human Trafficking Enforcement grant awarded to the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office.

The following people have been arrested and charged in connection with the operation, with each defendant arraigned in either Berkshire District Court or Great Barrington District Court:

  • Jonathan Kornbluth, 45, of 230 Prospect Street in Housatonic. Arraigned on April 14 and charged with Enticing Child Under 16, Attempt to Commit Crime, and Class B Drug Possession. Bail set at $5,000.
  • Ted Crosby, 56, of 245 Cheshire Road, Trailer 24, in Pittsfield. Arraigned on April 7 and charged with Sexual Conduct for a Fee, Enticing Child Under 16, Attempt to Commit a Crime, Pose/Exhibit Child in Sexual Act. Bail set at $5,000.
  • Sydney Brodrick, 21, of 213 Connecticut Avenue in Pittsfield. Arraigned on April 1 and charged with Possession of Obscene Material, and Distribution of Obscene Material. Held pending evaluation.
  • Roger Preil, 67, of 219 Mcintosh Drive in Pittsfield. Arraigned on April 10 and charged with Paying for Sexual Conduct with Child Under 18, Obscene Matter to Minor, Enticing Child under 16, and Attempt to Commit Crime. Released on personal recognizance.
  • Dana Brookman, 31, of 333 North Street in Pittsfield. Arraigned on April 14 and charged with Enticing Child Under 16, Obscene Matter to Minor, and Attempt to Commit a Crime. Bail set at $7,000.
  • Eduardo/Kevin Miranda Hernandez, address and birthdate not listed. Arraigned on April 14 and charged with Enticement of a Child Under 16, Attempt to Commit Crime, and Procuring Liquor for Person Under 21. Bail Set at $5,000. Additionally, Hernandez has an active Connecticut warrant for a charge of Strangulation.
  • Forhad Chaudhury, 40, of 16 Croydon Avenue in Ronkonkoma, N.Y. Arraigned on April 14 and charged with Pay for Sexual Conduct with Child Under 18, Enticing Child under 16, and an Attempt to Commit Crime. Bail set at $15,000.
  • Jean Acre, 39, of 22 Jefferson Street in Westfield. Arraigned on April 14 and charged with Pay for Sexual Conduct with Child Under 18, Enticing Child Under 16, and Attempt to Commit Crime. Bail set at $5,000.
  • Dominick Boschetto, 31, of 9 Webber Road in Brookfield. Arraigned on April 15 and charged with Sexual Conduct for a Fee, and Enticement for Sex, Child under 16;
  • Stevenson Clercidor, no age or address listed. Case presently being heard.
