Former Pittsfield resident sentenced in rape case

Samaca has been sentenced to 10 years in state prison for all charges.

Pittsfield — After pleading guilty to charges of multiple sexual assaults of a child, former resident Henrry Ospina Samaca, 42, has been sentenced to 10 years in state prison.

According to the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office, Samaca pled guilty to multiple charges in court on March 26, including two counts of Rape of a Child with Force, two counts of Aggravated Statutory Rape, two counts of Witness Intimidation, and six counts of Indecent Assault and Battery of a child under 14.

Samaca was sentenced to 10 years to all charges, with the sentences to be served concurrently.

The investigation was led by the city’s Police Department, which coordinated with the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office.
