Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People, Where the Crawdads Sing) stars in this stand-alone sequel to the 1996 blockbuster as a former storm chaser, Kate Carter, haunted by a tragic run-in with a tornado who now studies storm patterns on screens safely in New York City. She is lured back into action by her friend, Javi (Anthony Ramos, In the Heights) to test a groundbreaking new, three-dimensional tracking system. Romantic weather patterns collide when she meets Tyler Owens (Glen Powell, Anyone But You, Top Gun: Maverick, Hit Man), the reckless yet charming social-media superstar who posts his storm-chasing adventures with his raucous crew. The real action begins when both teams find themselves in the paths of terrifying new storm systems converging over central Oklahoma.
