Richmond Tales – An Evening of Storytelling
May 2 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Free
The Richmond Free Public Library and the Richmond Cultural Council invite everyone to the Second Annual Evening of Storytelling: Richmond Tales, on Friday, May 2nd at 6pm at the Town Hall. This live storytelling event features Richmond residents, from students to seniors, sharing their tales about our treasured town. Gather in the Community Room at 5:30 to enjoy refreshments from the bake sale supporting the Richmond Consolidated School Middle School field trips, then hear your friends and neighbors recount the history and highlights of life in Richmond. Our storytellers are coached by Sheela Clary, a Berkshire County writer and teacher who specializes in building community through place-based storytelling events. Last year’s presentation featured stories about old-time telephone party lines, surviving a major storm, neighbors and neighborhoods, and encounters with nature.
This event is free and the program is supported by the Richmond Cultural Council, a local agency funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
