An organ rededication concert will be held on Saturday, March 1 at 2:00 pm at the First Congregational Church of Stockbridge to celebrate the restoration of the church’s historic 1865 Johnson organ. The concert will feature three guest organists: Tim Pyper, Edwin Lawrence and Brian Hoffman, each playing two solo selections then accompanying the congregation on favorite hymns. A history of the organ will be presented as well as a report on the renovations and upgrades. This project was funded as part of the church’s Capital Campaign, and was undertaken by Messrs. Czelusniak et Dugal, Inc. of Northampton, MA. The concert is free and open to the public, and a reception will be held following the concert to greet the artists. A free will offering plate will be passed.
