Ghostlight

August 17 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$11

2024 | R | 115 min | Comedy, Drama

Actors Keith Kupferer, his wife Tara Mallen and their daughter Katherine Mallen Kupferer (Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.) play a melancholy construction worker, his wife and their troubled daughter in this play within a film. When Dan (Keith Kupferer) joins a local theater’s production of Romeo and Juliet, the drama onstage starts to mirror his own life as he and his family are forced to confront a personal loss. Co-directed by Kelly O’Sullivan and Alex Thompson from O’Sullivan’s script.

“Beautifully realized. A simple, throwback, redemptive story about the very personal roads of grief we all must travel, Ghostlight connects as authentic and heartfelt, but there’s also a sneaky profundity to match.” — Brent Simon, The A.V. Club

“A film about the world-changing power of artistic communion, about how creativity, compassion, and forgiveness — of oneself and others — are all pit stops on the same human journey.” — Bilge Ebiri, New York Magazine/Vulture
