The inspiration for my collage art stems from my fascination with the beauty in the mundane and my desire to preserve everything that has captured my attention and my heart.

Collected scraps and cut images, draw me in with their angles, color, and substance. My unruly process begins with what seems to be random and sometimes arbitrary placement, evolves from the ordinary to visually obscure, and then into something wondrous and often comical. When a piece is completed, I am as surprised as anyone, to hear the story it tells, and the title it takes on.

My newest work “for the record” was inspired by melodies and lyrics of my life, that always gave a voice to my secret internal world and my confusing external circumstances. Placing these fragments of my life, on to vinyl, spins old ideas into new opportunities to see life from a gentler view.
