Caps 4 Art Closing Reception & Documentary Screening

A community plastic caps drive an interactive art exhibit with climate activist & artist, Camilo Cárdenas. This installation aims to inspire and educate visitors about the impact of plastic pollution and the importance of climate action. The exhibit will serve as a testament to the collective efforts of the community and the transformative power of art.
Visit the gallery and help create the Caps 4 Art pieces with Camilo 11AM-7PM! Documentary screenings will begin at 5PM and run continuously until 7PM. The video is about 15 minutes long.
About the documentary: “In the Name of Ice” is about the environmental impact on Colombian glaciers is created by Marcela Fernandez, an activist and defender of Colombia’s highlands and Páramos, the founder of Cumbres Blancas Colombia, an organization that has been focused on protecting and restoring mountains, ecosystems, glaciers, wetlands, and native plants – for the past 5 years. In 2023, she was chosen as one of the most influential women in the world by the BBC for raising awareness about the consequences of climate change in Colombia, promoting the protection of glaciers, and advocating for the planting of frailejones.
