Berkshire Nature Talk Series – Animal Romance
February 15 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
FreeThe West Stockbridge Historical Society will kick off its 2025 Berkshire Nature Talk Series season with Nicaela Haig of Mass Audubon. Haig’s presentation—appropriately for the night after Valentine’s Day—will be about romance in the animal world.
Love is in the air — literally! Whether it’s a dance, a song, a gift, or even a fight, our wild neighbors in the Berkshires have so many fascinating strategies to find a partner or strengthen their bonds. Discover the weird and wonderful courtship rituals of local species and take a closer look at the ways that animal families work together.
Nicaela Haig is a teacher-naturalist with Mass Audubon’s Berkshire Wildlife Sanctuaries. Having connected people to wildlife as an environmental educator for over a decade, she currently coordinates public programs and adult education year-round in the region while supporting programs throughout western Massachusetts.
The event is free for members and a suggested $10 donation for non-members. Please register in advance on The West Stockbridge Historical Society website as the capacity is limited to 100.
