Spencertown Academy Arts Center Virtual Members’ Art Show

Spencertown Academy Arts Center presents its 5th annual Members’ Art Show featuring works made by more than 50 Academy community members.

“Every spring, we kick off our exhibition season with the Members’ Show as a tribute to the many members of Spencertown Academy who are artists and as a way to demonstrate our appreciation for all of their support,” says Leslie Gabosh, who serves on the Spencertown Academy Curatorial Committee. “This year, the pandemic forced us to first postpone to the fall, but with that being still uncertain, we made the decision to mount a virtual exhibit on our website. The artists in our community have submitted their new work—photographs, traditional oil and acrylic, landscape and still life, graphics, sculpture, ceramic, collage, and watercolor. Most of the artwork is for sale; a portion of all proceeds will benefit the Academy.”

The artists featured in the Members’ Art Show include Fern Apfel (Kinderhook, NY), Carl Berg (Malden Bridge, NY), Mary Brenneman (Claverack, NY), Corinne Brennen (Albany, NY), William Case (Spencertown, NY), Jamie Cat Callen (Valatie, NY), Norma Cohen (Canaan, NY), John Cooley (Chatham, NY), Maria Crespo (Philmont, NY), Mary Anne Davis (Spencertown, NY), Stephen Gerard Dietemann (Great Barrington, MA), Elizabeth DiPalma (Chatham, NY), Mary Jo Downey (Alplaus, NY), Meryl Enerson (East Chatham, NY), Melissa Forbes (Philmont, NY), Peter Nicholas Fritsch (Copake, NY), Leslie Gabosh (Spencertown, NY), Michel Goldberg (Freehold, NY), Robin Guthridge (North Chatham), Jamie Hankin (Kinderhook, NY), Ron Harrington (Hillsdale, NY), Valerie Hoffman (Elizaville, NY), Linda B.
