Elizabeth Heller Rosenberg, 76, of New Marlborough and New York City, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Eugene; her children, Adam (Alexandra) Rosenberg, Paige (Scott) Cohen, and Michael (Maggie) Rosenberg; and her five grandchildren, Ollie, Nate, Elinor, Matty, and James.
Elizabeth was the director of the Haworth, N.J., Public Library for 23 years. She served as board president of Northern Valley Regional High School and as a Board of Trustees member for the ALS Association. Most recently, Elizabeth served as president of Construct—a nonprofit focused on affordable housing in the Berkshires—and as a Board of Trustees member at Hevreh Synagogue.
A memorial service will take place Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 1 p.m., at Hevreh of Southern Berkshire, 270 State Road, Great Barrington, MA 01230. Those unable to join in person may stream services live here. Shiva will be observed at the Rosenberg residence in Southfield, immediately following services until 7 p.m., with a minyan at 6 p.m. Shiva will also be observed Thursday, June 5, from 12 to 7 p.m., minyan at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Construct. Arrangements are being made by Joseph Levine & Sons.
