Elizabeth F. Arienti, 96, of Great Barrington

She was a member of the Rosary Society and the Daughters of Isabella. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles. Bess was also a part of her neighborhood sewing club.

Elizabeth F. Arienti (Bess), 96, a longtime resident of Great Barrington passed away Monday morning, October 5, 2015.

Born December 20, 1918 in Hartford, Conn., she was the daughter of Frank and Mary (Gawel) Zagata. She attended local schools in Turner Falls, Mass.

She married her husband, the late Fermo Arienti, on June 7, 1941 in Vermont. Together the couple made their home in Great Barrington.

Mrs. Arienti retired in 1985 from Sheffield Plastics Manufacturing Co. where she had worked for 17 years in their production department.

Bess was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church in Great Barrington. She was a member of the Rosary Society and the Daughters of Isabella. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles. Bess was also a part of her neighborhood sewing club.

She is survived by her son William Arienti and his wife Carolyn of Great Barrington; two grandsons, Tim Arienti and wife Lori and Todd Arienti and wife Jenny; and two granddaughters, Susan Sosa and husband Daniel and Diana Suarez and husband Joseph. She also leaves her great grandchildren, Taylor and William Arienti, Jordyn, Alex, Nick, Isabella and Nathaniel Sosa and her two half brothers, Louis and Joseph Parzych.

She was predeceased by her husband Fermo Arienti, her daughter Madeline Heileman (Midge) in 1977, her sister Mary Walner, her brother John Zagata, and her half sisters Irene and Emmy.

Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church in Great Barrington, Mass., conducted by Rev. William P. Murphy, pastor. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Great Barrington.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 13 from 9 a.m. until the procession leaves for the church at 9:45 a.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington.

Clifford David ‘Cliff’ Perreault, 86, Housatonic

A funeral service to honor Clifford’s life will be held at Saint Theresa of Calcutta at Corpus Christi Church in Housatonic on Dec. 17, 2024, at 10 a.m., with a reception to follow.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date to be held in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.

The family invites you to calling hours, from 1 to 3 p.m., on Sunday December 15, at Birches-Roy Funeral Home. There will be a memorial Mass at 10 a.m., on Monday, December 16, at St. Peters Church. The burial will follow at St. Peters Cemetery.
