To the editor:
For Paul Caccaviello to grouse about “election meddling” is the height of hypocrisy. David Capeless clearly meddled in the election by “retiring” and then having Caccaviello appointed to his position. I suppose, according to Mr. Caccaviello, that is not election meddling since it is clearly to his benefit. In addition, it bothers me, and should bother those who want change for the better in the DA’s office, that the only candidate under attack is Andrea Harrington, both by Caccaviello and Knight. This suggests a deal between them to split the vote between Harrington and Knight to give the job to Caccaviello. Is there a place in the DA’s office waiting for Judith Knight? The people of Berkshire County deserve better than backroom deals to maintain the status quo. A vote for Andrea Harrington is a vote for change in the right direction.
