Eleanore H. Springstube, 91, of West Stockbridge, died Saturday March 5, 2016 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Eleanore was born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y, on May 18, 1924, daughter of William and Sophie (Schaffer) Herre. She grew up in Alford and was a 1941 graduate of the former Searles High School.
Eleanore was a very active member of the West Stockbridge community and worked as a registrar for more than 20 years.
Married for 62 years to the late John D. Springstube, Eleanore is survived by one son, John W. Springstube and his wife, Mershele, of West Stockbridge; two daughters, Anita H. Minery and husband, Alan, of Otis and Cynthia A. Muenkel and husband, David, of Littleton, Colo.; and four granddaughters: Lyn Minery-O’Brien, Amy Springstube, Georgianna Springstube, and Alexandra Springstube.
In keeping with Eleanore’s wishes, all services will be private.
