Elaine Baum, 77, of Stockbridge

Elaine loved tending her gardens, traveling with her husband, and attending concerts at Tanglewood, especially the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Elaine Baum, 77, of Stockbridge died Dec. 8, 2020, at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center.

Born Oct. 18, 1943, in Pittsfield, the daughter of Charles and Shirley Knox, she attended local schools and was a 1961 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She was employed by the Berkshire Mutual Insurance Company and later Minkler Insurance Company. Elaine loved tending her gardens, traveling with her husband, and attending concerts at Tanglewood, especially the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She and her husband, Robert Baum, were married Jan. 8, 2005, in Lenox.

Besides her husband of Stockbridge, she is also survived by son Sean Carroll (Susan) of Dalton, daughter Alison Worrick (Jim) of Pittsfield, Tiffany Baum (Kevin Kump) of Lenox, Ronald Baum of Brazil, Gregory Baum of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Avi Robinson Baum of Jerusalem, Israel; grandchildren Eric Worrick, Corinna Kate Carroll, Rose, Brianna, and Shali Baum; sisters Suzanne Coughlin (Don) of Lady Lake, Florida, Patricia Kelley (Wally) of Lakeport, California, Polly Lombardi (John) of Pittsfield, and Kelly Jones (Bill) of Pittsfield; and brothers Steven Knox of Oakland Park, Florida, and Jeffrey Knox (Lynn Majewski) of East Brunswick, New Jersey.

A private burial service will take place at Ahavath Shalom Cemetery in Great Barrington. The Roche Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Francis Thomas Duke Jr., 82, of Lenox

The funeral for Mr. Francis T. Duke will be held on Friday, May 16, at 11 a.m., at Trinity Church in Lenox, with Rev. Michael Tuck officiating. Burial will be private in Corashire Cemetery in Monterey. There will be no calling hours.

Jeffrey E. van Lingen, 62, of Lenox

There will be a service held on Wednesday, May 14, beginning at 11 a.m., at the Roche Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 13, from 4 to 7 p.m.

U Ba Win, 78, of Great Barrington

A memorial will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 26, at the Daniel Arts Center at Bard College at Simon's Rock.
