Egremont Barn closed ‘until further notice’

The property was previously put up for sale in March 2024.

Egremont — On Saturday, March 15, The Egremont Barn announced on its Facebook page that it is “closed until further notice. We hope to rise again with a great new chapter and new owner.”

The Egremont Barn entertainment and dining venue opened in 2016 out of an old barn built in the 1830s that is on the same property as the Egremont Village Inn and is co-owned by Jenny Rubin and Nick Keene.

According to the Egremont Village Inn’s website, the inn building was originally built in 1786 and is on the National Historic Registry.

Back in December 2023, the Egremont Barn started a GoFundMe membership drive asking residents to “help to continue to produce live music, release our long awaited Barn Archive and to continue to build a strong sense of community in the Berkshires and beyond.”

The membership drive has raised $27,280.

In March 2024, the property was put up for sale.

According to its website, the Egremont Village Inn is still operational and taking reservations for rooms starting on May 1.
