Edward ‘Larry’ L. Corbett Jr., 87, of Lenox

In respecting Larry's wishes, there will be no services, and a private burial will be held at a later date.

Edward “Larry” L. Corbett Jr. of Lenox passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the age of 87.

Born in Winthrop, Mass. on October 22, 1935, Larry was the son of the late Edward and Dorothea (Clayton) Corbett. He was raised in Winthrop until the age of 16, when he moved to Lenox with his family. He graduated from Lenox High School in 1955 and worked as a lineman for New England Telephone Co. for 42 years.

Larry married his beloved wife, Rachel (Cummings), in 1956. They were married 67 years before her passing.

Larry was an avid fan of the Patriots and Red Sox, and he loved his dogs. He enjoyed many hours taking care of his property and sitting by his pond with his wife, Rae.

Larry is survived by his two sons, Edward Corbett III of Lenox and Robert Corbett and wife Lise of Berwick, Maine; his two daughters, Nelanne Corbett of Pittsfield and Lynmarie Corbett of Austin, Texas; one grandson, Sage Corbett of Austin, Texas; two step-grandchildren, Zachary of Springvale, Maine and Courtney and husband Brian of Berwick, Maine; four step-great-grandchildren; his loving nieces and nephews; and his sister, Ruth Ann Reynolds of Las Vegas, Nev. He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Warren, and his lifelong friends, Danny Martin and Art Upright.

In respecting his wishes, there will be no services, and a private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry’s memory can be made to Berkshire Humane. To share memories and stories, please visit the website of Roche Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass for Robert F. "Bob" Keefner will be held on Friday, May 23, at 10 a.m., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Saint Peter’s Church in Great Barrington with Reverend William P. Murphy Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
