Becket — Three years after its closing, The Dream Away Lodge is scheduled to reopen with new owners in April. Sheryl Victor Levy, one of the co-owners of the property, confirmed the reopening via email to The Berkshire Edge. Levy co-owns the property along with her husband Scott Levy, Daniel Giddings, and his wife April Wilson.
Levy would not announce a specific date in April for the re-opening, but that the four are still working on the property for a re-opening. However, she did share several elements of the new Dream Away Lodge with The Berkshire Edge. “The new owners are building on a theme of American Roadhouse [when it comes to food],” Levy wrote via email. “This bistro scale approach will emphasize quality, consistency, creative touches, seasonal ingredients, and a relaxed atmosphere. Menu specifics will rise out of collaboration with our kitchen team. The concept aims for simplicity, flavor, and comfort, with a vegetable-forward attitude to make sure our plant-based enthusiasts are happy, too.” Levy wrote that the four have “dusted off the bar” and it will be open, offering “cold beer, nice wines, and some old school classic cocktails.”
According to Levy, The Dream Away Lodge will also offer live performances. “Our spring lineup will include mostly performers who have a history with the Dream Away,” Levy wrote. “The outpouring of booking interest from all of the incredible musicians who have carved their spirit initials in the Dream Away music room has been phenomenal. We are almost completely booked through June already.” Levy would not specify the performers lined up for when the Dream Away opens up.
She wrote that The Dream Away Lodge would be open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays in late April for live music, bar, and light food offerings. In mid-May, The Dream Away Lodge will be open five days a week from Wednesdays through Sundays with a bar menu. In mid-June, The Dream Away Lodge will offer a full dinner menu, and starting in the summer the lodge will be open as an event space for weddings, company retreats, and private events.
