Dorothy M. Conklin, 85, of Great Barrington

A burial will be held in the spring.

Dorothy M. Conklin, of Great Barrington, passed away on January 25, 2026. Born in North Cannan, Conn., on August 31, 1939, she was the daughter of Albert R. Conklin and Ethel Elizabeth Blackwell Conklin.

Dorothy was educated in Cannan schools and was a graduate of Housatonic Valley Regional High School, class of 1958.

Dorothy was an avid golfer and tennis player. She was a member of Wyantenuck Country Club for 52 years and proudly won 10 club championships. On August 3, 1995, she finally achieved a hole-in-one on the ninth hole!

Dorothy worked for Becton & Dickinson Company of Cannan, Conn., as a machine operator for 36 years, retiring in 1998.

Dorothy is survived by her brother Peter and cherished friends, the Dymek and Kays families.

A burial will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy’s memory can be made to Fairview Hospital in care of Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home, 426 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230.

A celebration of Gary's life will be held at St. James Place in Great Barrington on March 14, 2026, from 2:30 to 4:30 pm.

June Virginia Hastedt, 93, of Housatonic

At June's request, there will be no funeral service. A graveside service will be held at Lee Memorial Cemetery in Southfield in the spring.

Brian Reginald ‘B.O.’ Ovitt, 84, of Sheffield

A funeral service for Brian “B.O.” Ovitt will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Birches-Roy Funeral Home, with Pastor Regina King officiating. Family and friends are also invited to calling hours on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
