Doris Marie Clark Fiorini, 95, of Dalton

A Catholic Funeral Mass will be said by Monsignor John Bonzagni at Saint Ann’s Church in Lenox on May 25, 2023 at 10 a.m., followed by burial in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery in Pittsfield. A celebration of Doris’s life will be held at Frankie’s in Lenox following the burial.

On March 13, 2023, Doris Marie Clark Fiorini left this world to join the love of her life, Anthony “Tony” Thomas Fiorini. Tony predeceased her on January 1, 2013.

She was born in Pittsfield on May 9, 1927 to Harold and Myrtle Clark. Doris could trace her paternal Clark family tree to Plymouth in the 1600s and to Berkshire County in 1780. Her maternal Wilkson family came from Scotland to Canada on a Kings Grant. Wilkson’s are then traced to North Adams in the 1800s, where they worked on the Hoosac Tunnel in 1851.

Doris graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1945 and then worked as a telephone operator at General Electric. On February 19, 1949, Doris married her childhood sweetheart, Tony, in St. Mary the Morning Start Church in Pittsfield. Married for 63 years, 45 of which they spent working together at Elm Court Greenhouses and Florist in Lenox growing and selling the best flowers and vegetables in the county. Doris helped with the transplanting of thousands of seedlings, designing flower arrangements, wedding bouquets, and kept the books.

In 1994, Tony and Doris retired and moved to Dalton, first on Field Street Ext. and then to Sugar Hill where they lived to the end of their respective lives.

Doris is survived by her son, Thomas Anthony Fiorini of Lenox; her daughteru, Ann Marie and husband Robert Gurek of Venice, Fla.; her granddaughter, Victoria Lynn Fiorini and partner Dan Fedullo; her great-grandson, Bodhi Moss Fedullo of Pittsfield; her in-laws, Alice Fiorini of Chester, N.J. and Joanne Barker, Mike, and Leslie Fiorini of Pittsfield; 16 nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews spread throughout the country.

Many thanks to all the people at Sugar Hill for taking care of Tony and Doris for so many years, and to Berkshire Medical Center fourth floor nurses, doctors, Hospice, and all the supporting staff for the wonderful end-of-life care given to Doris.
