Diana Felber of Great Barrington died peacefully on October 31, 2021. She created a beautiful world for herself and her family. Her natural generosity stemmed from both her curiosity, her appreciation for beauty, and her love for people and life.

Diana Felber.

She lived all of her life consciously, appreciating what had been offered and giving back in full measure through her multiple talents of dancing, writing, painting, and her exceptional gardening.

Diana was born in England in 1944 during the war. Her elegant parents eventually moved the family to Great Neck, Long Island for great opportunities and wonderful childhoods. After the University of Wisconsin, Columbia, and a first marriage, she met Stephen Glick in Philadelphia, marrying in 1981. She received her Masters in dance therapy and worked at the Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. Her two children, Gabe and Maya, were a joy. “I loved being a mother,” she said. And later, her grandchildren, Luca and Dora, become the light of her life.

Throughout her life in the Berkshires, she had an insatiable love for landscape design, planting, and horticulture. Dancing, clay work, and painting were passions, too. In 2016, she opened the Diana Felber Gallery in West Stockbridge, displaying and selling a rich trove of regional painting, sculpture and artisan crafts.

When a life-threatening disease challenged her, she faced it with square shoulders and great fortitude. She did all she could to fight it.

Diana is survived by her many loving friends and her husband, Stephen Glick; their son Gabe and wife Yukari, and their son, Luca; and daughter Maya and husband Vitor Gonçalves, and their daughter, Dora, and son, Antonio.
