Democratic refocus

Voters' needs must be a priority.

To the editor:

The Democratic Party has to move away from the big money and special interests and refocus on its original platform of people taking care of people. Voters’ needs must be a priority. Establish a real middle class while still supporting those in need.

Stop chasing the money and ignoring your base and the 18- to 35-year-olds and younger diverse voters. They see no difference between either party. Give them a voice and a reason to become active. They feel ignored and out on their own with no voice and no reason to get involved.

Be a real, committed, substantial voice for our communities.

Return us to a time of respect, caring, commonality, and laws. Your silence is deafening.
